The Virú necklace takes its name from one of the ancient cultures of Peru’s northern coast. This silver Perivian Turquoise necklace pairs hand-worked silver designs with a calm, turquoise-blue stone. In addition, a torch-fired finish gives the silver a warm, artisanal character.
Ilaria is a Peruvian jewelry house founded in 1992 by Italian-born designer Ilaria Ciabatti. Today, more than 100 skilled artisans work with the brand. Together, they blend contemporary design with Peru’s long silversmithing heritage and draw inspiration from pre-Inca traditions. In addition, they shape and finish every piece by hand.
Wear it with a white blouse or a simple dress, so the stone stands out. Also, it pairs well with silver earrings from the same ethnic line. Because of its rich design, it works best as the single statement piece of your look. Finally, it makes a meaningful gift for anyone who loves Peruvian culture.
Materials: 925 sterling silver with torch-fired finish and amazonite stone. Designer: Ilaria. Line: Ethnic. Chain: approx. 50 cm (19.69″). Extension: approx. 6 cm (2.36″).
Keep the stone away from water, perfume and lotions, and store the necklace in a soft pouch.
