Pure alpaca is warm, light and breathable, and it has almost none of the lanolin that makes ordinary wool itch. Amaru works with premium alpaca and vicuña fibers at its own farm in the south of Chile, near Temuco, and its garments are made by a network of Mapuche artisans.
