The Wari necklace draws on one of the Andes’ oldest symbols, the chakana or Inca cross. This red spondylus necklace sets carved red spondylus into each silver piece. As a result, warm coral-red tones glow against the bright 925 sterling silver.
Ilaria is a Peruvian jewelry house founded in 1992 by Italian-born designer Ilaria Ciabatti. Today, more than 100 skilled artisans work with the brand, drawing inspiration from pre-Inca traditions. Together, they blend contemporary design with Peru’s long silversmithing heritage. In addition, they shape and finish every piece by hand.
Pair it with solid colors so the red stands out. For example, try black, cream or navy. Also, it works well for evening events and special occasions. Therefore, it makes a memorable gift for someone who loves Andean culture.
Materials: 925 sterling silver and red spondylus. Designer: Ilaria. Line: Ethnic. Design: inspired by the chakana cross. Total length: approx. 43 cm (16.93″).
Keep the spondylus away from water and perfume, and store the necklace in a soft pouch.
