This Mapuche silver bracelet is a link bracelet with six Gñelfe (morning star) medallions, handcrafted in 925 sterling silver by the expert goldsmith who founded Ulcha Küyen. Its design combines elegance and simplicity, inspired by the ancestral symbols of the Mapuche culture. In Mapuche tradition, the Gñelfe or morning star is an important celestial symbol, and silverwork has long held a special place in Mapuche culture. Ulcha Küyen was founded by Mapuche goldsmith Marcelina Huentecura in Carahue, in Chile’s Araucanía region, where every piece is still made with ancestral techniques such as chiseling and embossing.
Store in a soft pouch, remove before swimming or applying perfume, and polish the silver gently with a soft cloth.
