This unique and elegant baby alpaca silk shawl from our KUNA Millennium collection features a design representative of the ancient Nazca culture of Peru. Made of 70% baby alpaca and 30% silk, it combines the warmth and softness of alpaca with the sheen and drape of silk. Wrap it over an evening dress for a concert, or take it traveling as a refined layer for planes and dinners.
The Nazca people of ancient southern Peru were master textile makers, also famous for the giant Nazca Lines drawn across the desert. KUNA, founded in the 1950s and part of Peru’s Incalpaca Group, honors that legacy, controlling its fibers from breeding to garment.
Dry clean, or hand wash gently in cold water with a mild detergent and dry flat. Store folded.

Garments that have any suede or leather trimmings need to breathe so they should not be stored in a plastic bag.
Use
Special care is recommended with very fine and light knitwear which have a loose and delicate look, as they may be prone to snagging and pulling.
As our garments are mainly made out of natural South American camelid fibers, excessive friction can cause natural fiber hair shedding.
