Handcrafted in 925 sterling silver, these cinnamon flower earrings (Rayen Foye) pay homage to the flower of the foye, or cinnamon tree, a sacred plant in Mapuche culture that symbolizes spiritual calm. Delicate and feminine, they add a gentle touch of nature to a summer dress, a linen blouse or your favorite evening look.
In Mapudungun, the language of the Mapuche people, rayen means flower. The foye tree has long held a special place in Mapuche tradition and ceremony, which is why its blossom is a cherished motif and a meaningful gift for someone who values serenity.
These earrings are made by Ulcha Küyen, a Chilean silversmith workshop founded in Carahue, Araucanía, by Mapuche goldsmith Marcelina Huentecura. Each piece is shaped entirely by hand in high-grade silver, following ancestral Mapuche techniques.
Keep them in a soft pouch when not worn, take them off before swimming or applying perfume, and polish the silver gently with a soft cloth.
